So you ask….what does fugly mean!?  Well, it is one of my silly words that I have created.  It basically means fun + ugly = Fugly!!!  I have secretly had a thing for ugly lamps but didn’t really say it out loud to people.  I remember this one hanging lamp I just HAD to have […]

My dearest Whitney… I am so glad that you have posted this. I must say that you made a very wise purchase, with my insistance that you do so of course. Aren’t you glad that you listened to me this time? It is an awesome lamp, and I rather like the shade frame with it. It is a wonderful thing that even though we are miles apart, we are able to share our love of “fugly” things via the internet. Gotta love technology for this one reason. Ha! Ha! Love ya, Mom

I am so thrilled to announce that Whitney Owen Designs will now carry The Organic Bloom custom frames!  I am so excited I can hardly stand it!  Aren’t they just the cutest ever!  I have been looking at this company for awhile….like for over a year…but just now decided that I must carry them.  🙂 […]

Since moving to Indiana, which is 18 hours away from all my family and friends, I have good days and then I have those not so good days.  Today, I am having a not so good day.  My emotional explosion went off when I looked at some pictures of my nieces.  They are growing up […]

  • I’m so sorry you are feeling homesick, but how nice to have those sweet little faces documented so that you can look at them often. ;-))

Oh Whitney, it hurts my heart to think that you are so homesick. I cannot imagine how you feel. I remember when your dad and I moved to Odessa and how homesick I was. We were only 2 hours away, and I would cry everytime we would have to go back to Odessa after a visit. Silly, wasn’t it? Looking back on it now, I realize how lucky I was. I wish it wasn’t such a long trip so I could visit you more often. I know it won’t really be long before you come home for the holidays, but I am sure right now these are not very comforting words. Please hang in there. Keep your chin up. I think of you so many times a day. I pray that God will place a special person or persons in your life in Indiana who will become just as dear to you as your friends here in Texas. Love you so very much, Mom

I forgot to tell you how much I have enjoyed looking at the pictures of my beautiful granddaughters. The picture of Somer is very lovely, too. I love looking at your beautiful face….so glad to see it among the pictures as well. Thanks for sharing. I am so glad that you have documented so many moments in their lives – the small everyday occurences are just as meaningful to me as a special event. Thanks for taking the time to record these moments. Love you!

Oh Whitney! I love, love, love all these pictures. They are precious. The first one of Trusslynn is hilarious! I think you caught B.B.’s true beauty and sweet character. The toothless one of Avery is awesome. I absolutely love the closeup of Riley in the jacket. One of my very, very favorites — gorgeous. I also really like the one of you two together — so sweet. Your parents and we really do have sweet granddaughters. They will be glad to see you at Christmas! Thanks so much for sharing.

  • Thanks everybody! Somer, Mom, Kendall and Cindy….I will get a disc to you guys. I just used the last of my discs for a wedding, but I will see if Eric has any laying around…which I am sure he does.

Seth and Stacey were married on Friday, August 12th in Snyder, Texas at 37th Street Church of Christ.  Seth’s and Stacey’s ceremony was beautiful and perfect in every way.  Might I add that Stacey was simply stunning in her Maggie Sottero bridal gown while Seth was very dapper.  Their reception followed the cermony at Snyder’s newest venue, London Bleu.  It was such […]
