Finally, I am getting some other shots of our home up. Since we are moving soon I thought I better get caught up before I have to do this all over again. Keep in mind when we bought the house, I chose for most of the walls to be an off white with the baseboards and doors in a bright white so that I could have a blank canvas. We currently have my brother-in-law staying with us so he is getting his fill of all my wonderful pink and green things. The green bookcases you will see in the images below were built by my talented Father as well as my headboard.
The shelves hold our many college books {most are Eric’s} and boxes filled with old photos that I really should do something with. I do have to say that my Dad also made my wrought iron crosses. My bedding is a mixture of Mary Cates and Co. custom bedding, Pinecone Hill, Chandler Collection and some vintage pieces. The cradle in the corner was built by my PawPaw for me when I was a small child. It still has the gold plate he carved into on the bottom. This piece is very special to me and I plan to use it with my children. I hated the knobs on my closets so I replaced them with green glass knobs from Anthropologie. My swag lamps are pieces that I purchased from different places and then rewired them. Then, of course, what would any room be complete without some vintage plates?! I do love them!
I am so glad that you are starting to post the rest of your house. I just love your guest bedroom! It looks very inviting. And, I really like how you put everything together. Beautiful!
